When to go the emergency room instead

Urgent care clinics cannot address all conditions or medical needs. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms or injuries, you should seek immediate medical attention and go to a hospital emergency room:

Anaphylactic reaction (throat closing)

Severely broken bone

Chest pain

Breathing trouble

Bleeding that won’t stop

Serious illnesses and injuries

Unconsciousness

Severe vomiting, dizziness, or headache

Any life-threatening emergency

Conditions that may require hospitalization
